A series of connected lessons aimed at primary or middle school/secondary that address the often tricky but interesting topics of space and the solar system. Each lesson is self contained with resources including videos, practical investigations, quizzes, data collection, analysis and extension follow up tasks. Lessons can be adapted to suit your particular curriculum and would be suitable for a half term or bimester of 9/10 weeks with an extra lesson for review. Lessons include exploring our solar system, gravity, weight and mass, earth and the seasons, moon phases, stars and constellations, solar energy, meteors/meteorites and satellites. The lessons need limited special scientific equipment and also included are help sheets (if needed) with guidance and support for students and teachers.

2 separate lessons on a case study about the interdependence of food webs that will really deepen students learning about this topic. Lesson 1 includes an introductory video and then an analysis of the different impacts of the introduction of wolves into the Yellowstone ecosystem. Students have to give examples and opinions of the impact from the point of view of different species affected. Lesson offers a review and quiz as well as an interactive activity on building food chains and webs that cements the learning established in lesson 1. A really interesting and interactive case study looking at real life examples to deepen the understanding of interdependence, suitable for top end primary or middle school but could be adapted for higher level learning.

It can be done as an easy experiment focusing on taking accurate observations/readings using a thermometer and exploring animal adaptations through their ears. There are two lessons which are differentiated for use with/without equipment.
